BuckeyeSoul.com is dedicated to providing a centralized place of news & events for and about Black culture in central Ohio. We strive to be a launching point for the ideas, events, achievements, and aspirations that make Black culture so wonderful. Our key areas of focus are education, the arts, and family.


We initially launched the website in February 2007. After a brief hiatus following the summer of 2007, we relaunched in May 2008. Our site is owned and operated by local Ohio-grown folk. BuckeyeSoul.com is the culmination of ideas on how to help bring the community closer together.

Event listings are created from suggestions from the community as well as other sites from around the web. The events list will focus on educational, artistic, and cultural events in the central Ohio Black community.


Articles & News


Articles are written by local authors only. The content of articles will focus on educational, artistic, and cultural happenings in the central Ohio area. We will also periodically feature reviews of local soul food restaurants and cafe’s. The article section will also be the place to find the Soul Spotlight. This special section will feature a person, place, or event, past or current that deserves a special acknowledgement.
